After World War II, most of the European cities were destroyed, and the continent began to divide on two sides – the Eastern and the Western Europe. The division point was The Berlin Wall, a barrier constructed by the German Democratic Republic (GDR, East Germany) to cut off West Berlin, consisted of the American, British, and French occupation sectors, from Soviet sector on the eastern side of the city. Here’s the collection of wonderful black and white photographs showing 1950s Berlin.
