Two Artists Add Extra Hands To Their Subjects [18+]
What if our hands would not only be two limbs attached to the body? What if we could have them in other parts of the body, symbolizing the physical embodiment of our frustration, anxieties, depression and obstacles that await us in life? Belgian photographer Jeffrey Vanhoutte and artist Babak Hosseiny fabricated human bodies by showing extra hands and gestures, and put them together into a photo collection called Ô les mains. The photos are symbolizing the battle with the weaknesses. Artists tried to catch, suppress and annihilate their own feelings, needs and desires. The result is amazing. Raw, human and emotional. The collection force us into a deep reflection on human nature.
