These Asian Cities At Night Look Like Shots From New Blade Runner Movie
London-based photographer Marcus Wendt found himself suffering from a bout of jetlag induced insomnia while visited Hong Kong, Shenzhen, and Seoul. He ended up wandering the streets of several cities late at night. With a camera in-hand he captured these mesmerising cyberpunk shots that look like were taken from the Blade Runner movie. Over several days Wendt worked his way through the Kowloon area of Hong Kong and then Shenzhen’s Huaqiangbei area known for its sprawling electronics market, before eventually traveling to Seoul.
Many of the photographs are made from roofs. We can see both the smaller streets and narrow alleys covered with colorful neons and breathtaking panoramas. It seemed that cyberpunk died long time ago. Marcus’s photos prove that cyberpunk is not dead. Check out his photos below and be sure to visit his website for more photos from his “Ultraviolet Break of Day” gallery.
